Abstract:

This layer shows locations of Montana minining activity provided by the US Bureau of Mines Minerals Availability System. The feature attributes include the type of mine, major commodities produced, township, range, and section, status, and owner. Coordinates come from various sources and accuracy has not been checked. The layer includes active and inactive mines.
